So we attended a couple of wedding expos recently to hand out invites to our South Coast Wedding Fair. People seemed very excited about our event and we were surprised at how many people already heard about it and had already registered on our website. The other reason for attending the wedding expos was to get some inspiration and good ideas. Sadly we didn't get much of this but we did however walk away with a very clear understanding of what we didn't want our wedding fair to be like.
We don't want it to be your average wedding expo where you are herded through like sheep and then bombarded with a hundred flyers and everyone competing for your attention. We don't want you to feel overwhelmed, harassed or rushed. We don't want there to be so many people all there at the same time so that you don't have time to chat with all the vendors.
We want our wedding fair to be a relaxed fun day out. This why we have spread our event over four venues and have made it go all day from 10am to 5pm. You can take your time visiting each venue at your own time and actually have a chat to the vendors rather than just grab flyers. You can also see the wedding venues in real life and get an idea of what it could look like on your wedding day.
There are no rules as to what order you visit the venues but we do have some fun and exciting things in store at each venue. More on this in our next post.
